FormCrete® Pervious Concrete Pavement is a concrete pavement material constructed using coarse aggregates, Portland cement, proprietary mineral binder, colour pigment and additives. It is different from conventional concrete in that it contains no fines in the mix. The aggregates are usually of a single size of 9 to 12mm and are bonded together at its points of contacts by a paste formed by the cement, water and the proprietary binder.
The result is a concrete that drains, i.e. a concrete with high percentage of interconnected open cell structure that permits water to filter through the concrete into the underlaying hardcore and soil.
